We are looking for a dedicated, curious, and proactive Technical Expert to join our Investigation Laboratory team. In this role, you will analyse failed components received from the field and provide crucial support to root cause analyses (RCA). You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, dive deep into tasks, and embrace opportunities to step outside your comfort zone.
This is a fixed term, temporary position to cover maternity leave. We will offer a 6-month term in the first instance.
This role will be based at our Investigation Laboratory in Trieste.
In this position, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive analyses of components, including, but not solely limited to, chemical analysis, mechanical characterization, optical and scanning electron microscopy, fractography, and damage characterization. You will write detailed investigation reports that include collected evidence, conclusions, and recommendations for both internal and external customers in English. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from component experts and engine team experts in Technical Services.
For us to be the best match, we expect you to be detail-oriented, precise, and accurate and to support customers through the product lifecycle by your troubleshooting experience, up to retrofit development projects. As an ideal candidate, you have up-to-date knowledge of material analyses methodologies and optimal understanding of mechanics and alteration phenomena.
In this role, you will be based 5 days/week at the Investigation Laboratory in Trieste.
