About the Role
The Business Manager (BM) is responsible for developing his own Business Unit (BU), a team of specialized engineers providing high‑tech consulting services to clients. The BM reports to the Industry Manager – Automotive and leads all commercial activities for the BU, building relationships with key sector players and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Business strategies and Business development:
- Define strategies for developing and selling diverse solutions, including digital ones.
- Develop commercial relationships with clients and prospecting.
- Manage the entire business life cycle.
- Analyze competitive landscape and digital trends.
- Cooperate in the development of strategic and operational marketing for digital offerings.
- Diversify existing services with innovative digital solutions.
- Participate in the definition of the annual business planning.
Customer relationship management:
- Strengthen position in existing business segments.
- Monitor customer activities, anticipate needs, and win new projects.
- Manage the P&L of the business unit.
- Provide advanced P&L analysis, identify potential issues and develop action plans to optimize revenue and contribution margin.
- Billing management.
- Manage the cash‑in process.
Human resources management and recruitment:
- Participate in recruitment activities (sourcing, interviewing, reporting, contract signing, etc.).
- Define and monitor the career development of the team (role allocation, assessment, key people engagement, etc.).
- Manage and balance the workload of the team.
Qualifications
An Engineering degree is preferred; an MBA is an additional qualification.
Required Skills
Experience in an engineering consulting firm and digital transformation in the automotive sector is a plus. Strong entrepreneurial spirit, proactivity, outstanding communication skills, natural leadership, teamwork and empathy are essential.
