Coosa Valley Credit Union is excited to announce an opening for Real Estate/Commercial Lending Analyst within our Loan Operations Department at the Annex location! Job Description

  • Demonstrate CVCU Culture and Values while supporting the full operational lifecycle of commercial and consumer real estate loans from origination to post-closing.
  • Perform in-depth analysis and ensure smooth coordination across all stages of the lending process.
  • Review and implement appropriate process workflows and reporting that keep loans compliant, efficient, and within lending guidelines.
  • Serve as a critical analyst liaison between lenders and backoffice departments (i.e. Loan Operations, Compliance, Audit and Learning & Development) to identify, triage, resolve operational issues and develop training for the specialized lending program.
  • Participates in appropriate and applicable training through the credit union library, on-site trainings, cross training to ensure job knowledge is current and up to date.
  • Maintains compliance with all required regulations and policies, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education

  • A two-year college degree
  • Completion of a specialized certification or licensing
  • Completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors
  • Job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting
cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: One or more of the following certifications:

  • Business Lending Certificate Program (or equivalent).
  • National Association of Mortgage Processors (NAMP) – Certified Mortgage Processor
  • Credit Union industry certifications related to Real Estate or Commercial Lending and Compliance

Physical Requirements

  • Remains in a stationary position for 50% or more of the time
  • Regularly operates office equipment, such as a computer, calculator, copy machine, and printer.
  • Communicates information and ideas effectively, ensuring accurate exchange of information in all situations.
  • Observes details at close range, typically within a few feet of the observer.
  • Occasionally moves items weighing 10-15 pounds within the work location or as needed.

Work Environment

This position requires approximately 10% travel time. Travel will primarily be local, but may extend to any location where the organization operates. Some travel for training or conferences may involve overnight stays, depending on business needs. The work environment is a professional, office-based setting that promotes collaboration, open communication, and a positive atmosphere. Employees are encouraged to work both independently and as part of a team.
