YouGov Shopper is a permanent tracking solution that allows FMCG clients and retailers to have a complete understanding of Shopper behavior. With our data it is possible to deep dive Consumer and Shopper knowledge, categories and brands performance drivers, diagnosis of purchase behavior and trends. You will be working for the main FMCG manufacturers operating in the Italian market.

We are currently searching for a Data Analytics/Data Scientist Consultant who will be a part of the our team; the role includes data analysis and interpretation, prompt response to client delivering insights.

These are the essential skills and experience needed for the role:

  • Create the adequate research design.
  • Define input data for statistical analyses and implement the research design in one of the specified coding languages (Python, R, SPSS, SAS).
  • Proactively develop mechanisms for automation with the main objectives being quality improvement, reduction of error rates – across teams or, if necessary, across divisions.
  • Create complex analysis on market data for reporting purposes or responding to specific customer requests.
  • Good interpretation of consumer data and analytic skill: numbers always give us some insights.
  • Analyse market data and trends in data using various tools, in order to generate insights for the client.
  • Develop charts, presentation and reports with corresponding insights that respond to customer questions.
  • Promotes automation processes and develops efficient ways to create client deliverables (Excel, PowerBi dashboard, databases, auto-charting, etc.)
  • Client interaction, especially as an expert of consumer data.

These are the essential qualifications needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Fluent in English spoken and written (at least B2).
  • Very good knowledge in Business Intelligence, Strategy, Data Analysis or a similar field.
  • Good knowledge of statistical software like Python, SPSS, R and SAS Base/Guide. Usage of Python libraries for Data Science (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn) and for Data Visualization (matplotlib, plotlib, seaborn) will be considered as a plus.
  • Good experience with BI tools to create reports and dashboards using data visualization (i.e. Power BI, Tableau). Advanced Excel (VBA programming) and PowerPoint skills.
  • Previous experience with the development of BI solutions based on the main Cloud Providers (Google Cloud Platform, Azure, AWS)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility and ability to collaborate in teams, ensuring adherence to deadlines and assigned goals.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Curious, open-minded and focus on team success.
  • Interest in the FMCG industry or work experience in research agency will be an additional advantage.
