About the job

The EME (Engineering‑Maintenance‑Energy) Team at the Origgio (VA) site is responsible for preserving company assets through proper management of engineering, qualification, and maintenance activities related to buildings, machinery, systems, computerized and automation systems. It also oversees all energy‑related aspects of the site. Additionally, the team defines the site's guidelines for the supply of equipment components and external services, ensures the management and implementation of digital systems within the facility, and supports users in the use of application systems. The team is divided into Engineering and Qualification, Equipment Maintenance (Mechanical and Electrical), Utilities Maintenance, Data Integrity and Computerised System Validation, and Automation.

Main responsibilities

  • Project Management : Lead medium to high complexity industrial projects (e.g., pharmaceutical systems, utilities, civil works), from requirement drafting to system testing.
  • Coordination & Overview : Supervise engineering firms and contractors, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration : Interface daily with internal departments (Quality, Safety, Production, Purchasing) and external contractors.
  • Documentation & Compliance : Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation and ensure system qualification records are accurate.
  • Cost Monitoring & Reporting : Track investments and collaborate with Technical Services for cost reporting using Excel and managing systems.
  • Field Support : Assist with equipment installation, configuration, and start‑up activities, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • Testing & Qualification : Conduct FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and periodic re‑qualification of equipment to ensure operational readiness.

About you

  • Experience : Knowledge managing projects in technical departments, engineering firms or industrial technical offices, preferably in the pharmaceutical or food industry. Ability to work independently and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Skills : Proficiency in major operating systems and office automation programmes (Windows, MAC, Linux, Office, AutoCAD, etc.). Theoretical and practical knowledge of project management methodology. Experience managing projects in pharmaceutical or food industry settings. Knowledge of activities related to funded projects is appreciated but not mandatory. Teamwork and knowledge‑sharing orientation. Problem‑solving skills and ability to face daily challenges independently. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Education : Master Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Automation Engineering.
  • Languages : Fluent spoken and written Italian and English.
