We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our Finance team. This position could suit applicants at various stages of their careers, from junior accountants to more senior. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting essential financial processes.
After an initial training period, you will take on responsibilities independently, ensuring smooth budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage intercompany reconciliation, and ensure compliance with tax filing requirements.
Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of year-end statutory statements, support the quarterly and year-end audit process, and reconcile expense claims and accounting records.

To excel in this role, you must have a keen eye for detail and strong accuracy in financial record management. Organizational skills are essential, as you will be managing multiple priorities in a dynamic financial environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required, and experience with Netsuite ERP system is highly beneficial. You should be adaptable and possess strong problem-solving skills, as well as a willingness to learn and collaborate within a team.
Fluency in English is essential, while Italian language skills are desirable but not mandatory. Previous experience working in an international environment is a plus.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field—or relevant professional accounting qualifications—is required. The ideal candidate will have two to three years of experience in an accounting or finance role. While experience with biotech accounting, R&D tax credit administration, and US GAAP reconciliation is preferred, it is not a requirement.
