💼The Opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Junior Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in statistics and classical machine learning or a significant exposure to deep learning, combined with a genuine passion for continuous learning and problem-solving.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of well-defined components of data science projects, working with the support of senior colleagues to deliver tangible impact. Familiarity with software engineering practices is considered a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to analyze business requirements and contribute to designing suitable ML-based solutions
• Develop and fine-tune models through reproducible experiments, taking ownership of your assigned features from data preparation to evaluation, with guidance from senior team members
• Contribute to building ML solutions by applying and learning the team\'s software engineering quality standards and data engineering best practices
• Proactively research and suggest new tools, libraries, and techniques to improve the team\'s workflow and model performance
• Effectively manage assigned tasks and project components, proactively communicating progress, challenges, and dependencies to ensure alignment
• Participate in monitoring and analyzing the performance of models in production

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience (including significant internships, thesis, or university projects) up to 2 years in a similar role
• Good knowledge of programming languages including advanced Python patterns
• Familiarity with git-based workflows
• Interest in MLOps practices and a desire to learn them
• Good communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain your work and findings to the technical team
• Languages: both Italian and English
• A collaborative spirit and a strong desire to contribute to the team\'s success
