RETAIL BUYER

We are looking for a passionate talent to build a global brand.

The candidate will join the Buying EMEA / MEINA team, located in Milan.

The Retail Buyer for the MEINA region will be responsible for selecting, sourcing, and purchasing luxury fashion products that meet the needs and preferences of our high-end customers in the Meina Region. You will work closely with the Merchandising, Retail and compliance Teams to ensure the optimal product mix, stock levels, and overall sales strategy. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of luxury fashion trends, and an ability to forecast consumer demand in this diverse region.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage seasonal buying plans, including forecasting product demand, inventory levels, and stock rotation.
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and customer demands in the MEINA region.
• Leverage historical sales data and insights to predict future demand and make informed buying decisions.
• Stay updated with fashion trends, luxury industry shifts, and consumer behavior to ensure the product assortment aligns with current and future needs.
• Work closely with the Planning & allocation teams to manage stock levels, product allocation, and replenishment.
• Work closely with the Compliance and Logistics departments to ensure the selected product meets the industry regulations to be shipped to destination.
• Ensure the timely delivery of products, avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
• Analyze sell-through rates and adjust buying strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with retail management to ensure the product assortment aligns with regional store layouts and brand positioning.
• Work closely with visual merchandising teams to ensure product is displayed in a way that maximizes customer engagement and sales.
• Manage the buying budget, ensuring that all purchasing is done within financial constraints.
• Track spend and measure ROI on products, making adjustments as needed to stay on target.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Retail Buyer in the luxury fashion industry, preferably with experience with footwear and / or the MEINA region.
• Strong understanding of fashion retail dynamics, market trends, and consumer behavior preferably in the MEINA market.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience using retail management software and buying tools.
• Cultural sensitivity and a customer-centric mindset, with the ability to curate collections that appeal to the regional market's tastes.
• In-depth knowledge of the luxury fashion market, key trends, and high-end consumer preferences.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive and results-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, Arabic speaking is a plus.
• Availability for international travel is required.
