The Assistant Collection Merchandiser supports the Merchandising team across all stages of the collection development process, ensuring accurate product data, smooth cross-functional communication, and timely execution. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for luxury fashion.
This position reports to the Global SVP of Merchandising, MD of Europe and works closely with Design, Product Development, Production, and Planning (DTC/Wholesale).
Key Responsibilities
- Collection Development Support
- Maintain accurate collection overviews, style lists, and assortment maps.
- Update and maintain PLM (Centric) and Netsuite with all product details, pricing, cost data, and margin information.
- Support in preparing internal documents: WIPs, range plans, visual summaries, pricing files, margin bridges, and seasonal merchandising decks.
- Monitor calendar deadlines, ensuring all teams are aligned across key milestones (kick-off, proto review, SMS, showroom).
- Assist in SKU rationalization and assortment optimization based on performance and strategic guidelines.
- Support market and competitive analysis: pricing benchmarks, product trends, category opportunities.
- Analyze historical product performance and contribute to future line-building strategies.
- Help prepare post-season performance reviews and weekly/monthly business recaps.
- Assist in showroom preparation (Milan, Paris): B2B shooting, sample coordination, styling notes, assortment presentation, and merchandising setup.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in merchandising, product development, buying, planning, or similar roles (experience in luxury fashion preferred).
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with PLM (Centric) and Netsuite a strong plus.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with numbers (costs, margins, pricing).
- Able to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative.

- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and tight timelines.
