Overview

On behalf of our client, Boehringer Animal Health, IQVIA is seeking a Veterinary Sales Representative to join a dynamic working environment.

Working Area: Lombardia (PV, LO, MI, PC)

Residence: Pavia

The candidate builds and fosters strong customer relationships within its territory. They achieve sales targets within the assigned territory and follow business strategies to maximize performance. The sales representative works with veterinary practices, clinics, and hospitals to understand needs, build customer value, and maintain, create, or strengthen the business partnership.

Accountabilities

  • Increase the company\'s market share and achieve sales results within the territory.
  • Maintain a high level of customer engagement in promoting the company, its products, and activities at all levels within the market.
  • Adhere to communication needs and effectively manage the assigned territory through follow-ups with customers and partners in a timely manner.
  • Identify decision-makers and influencers within accounts / clinics and develop the right partnership with them to ensure a high level of support and promotion of BI products.
  • Monitor trends in the market assigned to the territory, competitor products, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and business objectives. Share information related to the market, competitor activities, and customer feedback on products and promotions with relevant peers.
  • Record learning objectives / insights in CRM by leveraging the pre/post-interview process to improve customer engagement and impact territory performance.
  • Keep account / customer / information data in CRM.
  • Share learning / insights with team members, managers, and cross-functional partners. Identify business opportunities together with the manager.

Requirements

Compliance: Comply with Italian law requirements, MOH and regulatory procedures, rules and regulations concerning health and safety. Proper use of work equipment, substances, and preparations as well as collective and personal protective equipment according to instructions. Promptly report to the superior any dangerous condition. Adhere to BI Ethical code and SOP, AISA ethical code.

Job Complexity

Responsible for several clients, clinics, and accounts within a given geographic area; the role requires effective sales and customer management, time management, task prioritization, and business acumen, as well as ongoing mobility across the territory.

Use the BI AH sales model to engage customers, understand needs, create value, and advance sales by positioning products based on the action plan and customer insights. Promote a positive working relationship with clients and accounts/clinics. Leverage multichannel marketing tools and resources with targeted/segmented customers.

Job Expertise

  • Demonstrate expertise in providing product information to customers about BI products to optimize animal care.
  • Knowledge of the animal health industry and species-specific sector is critical, including business acumen to better understand competitive products.
  • Experience in customer engagement and sales skills centered on a consultative approach to the customer.

Minimum Education / Degree

Vet / Scientific degree required.

Required Capabilities (Skills, Experience, Competencies)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales / scientific information and customer management, preferably in the animal health or FMCG sector.
  • Business Planning account management and customer prioritization capabilities.
  • Strong presentation skills including oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Well-developed sales and negotiation skills.
  • Possibility to travel (overnight stays required).
  • Must possess a valid driver\'s license (based on the location of the assigned territory).
  • Must reside within the assigned geographic territory.
  • Fluent Italian, English is a plus.
