Product Specialist – Cytology / FISH / Molecular Biology

To support our continued international growth and innovation, we are looking for a Product Specialist to join our dynamic team.
This role is central to our mission, ensuring that our cutting‑edge technologies in Cytology, FISH, Molecular Biology, and Immunodiagnostics reach laboratories worldwide with the highest standards of technical support and scientific expertise.
Location: Based in Sesto Fiorentino (FI), Italy — up to 50% travel required internationally.
Contract Type: Full‑time, Permanent, 9/13-14/18.
Salary: €40,000 gross annual salary + bonuses and benefits.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Gain deep technical knowledge of the entire Aliko Scientific Product Portfolio.
- Support Business Development in activating and managing distributors globally, to interface with distributors, scientific societies, and key stakeholders.
- Organize and conduct product demonstrations for international clients and partners.
- Collaborate in the creation of promotional materials and scientific documentation.
- Liaise with R&D teams by collecting and converting market feedback into actionable technical insights.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Scientific disciplines (preferred: Biotechnology, Biology, Biomedical Laboratory Technology).
- Solid understanding of the diagnostic market of the following areas: Cytology, FISH, or Molecular Biology.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Specialist in at least one of the above areas.
- Fluency in English (working language).
- Proficiency in a second language: French or Spanish.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and general IT literacy.
- Residency in the Florence metropolitan area or nearby, work in presence.
- Willingness to travel extensively worldwide.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Strong organizational and teaching skills.
- Team spirit and ability to build trust and collaboration across departments.
- Previous experience in sales or as a laboratory technician is a plus.
