Software Dev Engineer III, Startup Team

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to help Startups get started and grow on AWS. You will develop and productionize software that is stable, performant and scalable, delivering on time and addressing customer needs. You will prioritize work with minimal guidance and solve complex, ambiguous problems using appropriate technologies and best practices to drive data-driven product improvements and scalable solutions for the startup customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that meet business requirements and customer needs
• Lead technical solutions from conception through deployment, including architecture decisions and implementation strategies
• Participate in full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, and other engineering teams
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving the team\'s technical practices
• Write high-quality, well-tested code following best practices and coding standards
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Drive operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience in at least one programming language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling) of new and existing systems
• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations)
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• Master\'s degree in computer science or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, working on agent systems or LLM applications
