British American Tobacco Italy has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Specialist in Trieste

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational distribution sites warehouses and internal logistics to ensure timely and accurate goods delivery.
  • Optimize storage area usage and monitor inventory accuracy through Key Performance Indicators and specific systems.
  • Ensure On Time In Full replenishment for production
  • Lead and train logistic and operational teams fostering a winning spirit and maintaining strong interdepartmental relations.
  • Develop and execute a Logistics Crew Model and team training plans to promote performance and compliance.
  • Manage functional budgets and contracts ensuring timely renewals and cost efficiency.
  • Encourage innovation by improving storage conditions and applying advanced tech tools like Power BI.
  • Guarantee accurate material / document flow with internal teams and 3PL partners while following Customs excise tax and legal protocols.
  • Maintain documentary accuracy on contracts procedures payments and sample delivery timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards and legal regulations through risk assessments and preventive measures.
  • Promote sustainability waste management and emergency response in line with BAT policies.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal departments BAT entities suppliers and authorities.
  • Gather and process information from stakeholders and experts to support logistics and compliance strategies.

What are we looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • University education (preferably Administration Economics) - graduated
  • Experience in work at a manufacturer of products is considered an advantage
  • Minimal Knowledge of Production Processes.
  • Advanced English and Italian - speaking and writing
  • Knowledge of logistics and warehouse flows.
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Excel and Power Point and ERP (e.g. SAP).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team management skills;
  • Proactive and strong organizational skills.
