Procurement Category Lead Technology Senior Manager

Accenture Procurement Plus is seeking an experienced and driven Category Manager Technology to lead our Italian technology category operations. This role plays a critical part in executing global and regional strategies at a local level, ensuring value delivery, stakeholder satisfaction, and supplier performance across the Technology category.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the global/regional Technology category strategy at the country/market unit level, building and managing the local category Procurement Plus Technology team and initiatives.
• Implement global and regional sourcing strategies within the local market, driving cost savings, service excellence, compliance, and supporting local business planning, budgeting, and strategic decision‑making.
• Support pipeline planning and forecasting of sourcing activities and implement supplier KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure effective contract implementation and usage of preferred buying channels, design RFPs, and conduct competitive sourcing processes.

Qualifications

• At least 9 years’ experience in procurement or category management, including project leadership in the IT industry and Technology categories.
• Comfortable working in a matrix organization, with strong stakeholder and team management skills (on‑shore & near‑shore).
• Analytical, presentation, communication (written & oral), interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Relationship management skills and a proactive customer‑focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, adopt a flexible approach, and prioritize tasks appropriately.
• Degree and fluent in English.
