Purpose of the Job

Development of train electrical traction, battery and pantograph system. Management of energy calculation and train performances

Mission of the Job

Traction & Energy Engineer develops last generation of train traction system and energy management system.

Traction & Energy Engineer, following the complete train development cycle from tender to project and validation, shall:

  • Define and develop traction train architectures in order to satisfy required performances
  • Define and develop, with internal and external supplier, traction components: pantograph, auxiliary battery, battery charger
  • Calculate kinematic performances
  • Calculate energy consumption and manage energy strategies
  • Manage customer, internal and transversal requirements. Allocate requirements to technical solutions
  • Manage technical meetings with the customer and supplier
  • Define train test and validation strategy with the validation team
  • Manage the return of experience from projects
  • Supervise commissioning and validation activities

Educational Requirements and skills

Energy or Electrical Engineer Master Degree preferred

Minimum 3 years’ experience on product development

Fluent English

Able to work in a team and share easily work result
