Preliminary Design Engineer – Senior Programs Lead

Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the activities of multidisciplinary project teams providing technical leadership, acting as an integrator of different outputs from disciplines (mechanical, aerothermal, controls, …) within the company.
- Interface with internal and external customers or partners to specify system requirements and flow down to the different teams.
- Coordinate and execute trade studies of propulsion system architecture configurations and aircraft installation feasibility studies.
- Define the plan and monitor the execution of technical activities, deliverables and program milestones, providing continued reporting to the leadership team and ensuring alignment with all involved functions.
- Contribute to the definition of the required technologies and maturation roadmap for the successful introduction of novel concepts.
- Lead or support technical and program reviews, present the results and findings to wide audiences from technical experts to executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with best practices and processes.
- Ensure proper documentation of all work.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited university; aerospace preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in aviation gas turbine engines development and their integration/installation on aircraft.
- Experience in whole engine architecture trades and their impact into final system performance and aircraft capabilities.
- Significant experience on systems engineering and/or a variety of technical disciplines related to propulsion.
- Experience with both fixed‑wing and rotorcraft applications and associated gas turbine engine types.
- Propulsion system and aircraft requirements management experience.
- Familiarity with research and technology development processes.
- Fluency in English and Italian.
- Work visa, according to local regulation, is required.
