Job Description

Richardson RFPD is looking to recruit a Field Sales Representative based in Rome, Italy to join our Sales team. Your principal responsibility in this role will be to build and maintain influential relationships with customers, suppliers and Richardson RFPD partners, creating demand for Richardson RFPD products. Responsible for the accounts in Italy.

What will you be doing?

  • Involved in many different development projects of our customers.
  • As a technical expert, responsible for preparing and conducting training sessions and technical meetings with customers and suppliers.
  • Influence the technical direction and priorities in customer projects based on Richardson’s design strategy, supplier input, and market conditions.
  • Attend supplier training events to keep up to date on product technologies and road maps.
  • Manage designs from conception to production, providing all sales support needed including customer visits, supplier visits and engineering services.
  • Maintain and grow customer database and defined vertical market and applications.
  • Provide reports and market knowledge of territory and growth plans.
  • Support our customers’ development engineers in selecting the right technologies and components for their next design.

What are we looking for?

  • 8+ years of related experience, ideally with a distribution background in the territory defined above as a Field Sales Engineer.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer orientation.
  • Ability to negotiate and to build relationships at all levels of customers and suppliers.
  • Fluent Italian and English (at least B2 level) are required to succeed in this role.
  • Driver’s license.
  • University degree in electronics or related subject is a plus.
