Company: Ethos Technology Srl – a technology consulting firm established in 2021, specializing in design services. We are seeking a Hardware Designer for an automotive project focusing on electric vehicle (EV) charging interface.

Location: Prima cintura di Torino.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic hardware.
• Select and size components.
• Define Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Specify firmware and PCB design requirements.
• Apply ISO 26262 knowledge.
• Support the electronics design team in developing the charging functionality within the Zonal Control Unit.
• Define system architecture.
• Select chipsets.
• Design circuitry schematics.
• Assist in PCB layout design.
• Prepare the BOM.

Expected Technical Deliverables

• Block diagrams of hardware architecture and vehicle/charger interface.
• Electrical schematics in CAD and PDF for review and documentation.
• Complete BOM with component specifications.
• Comparative analysis reports of alternative hardware solutions and vendor chipsets.
• Hardware manual detailing interfaces and functional specifications.
• Design calculations and simulations, including worst‑case analysis for robustness and compliance.
• Documented interface between hardware and software, mapping microcontroller and integration guidelines.
• Safety architecture diagram compliant with automotive safety standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Excellent English language proficiency.
