As a Country Sales Director you will provide strategic direction and maximize growth and performance for the sales team based in Italy. You will develop and nurture strategic executive-level relationships with key customers, partners, and other regional growth influences.

In this role based in Italy (Milan or Bologna), you will report to the Regional VP Sales - South.

Your Responsibilities:

Functional (Sales)

  • Manage selling resources to increase market reach and market share, assuring market coverage
  • Manage the implementation of sales and marketing strategies specific for the country, as a subset of RA global and pan-EMEA strategies, to ensure that annual operating targets are met, and long-term growth goals are achieved
  • Drive the execution of growth plans and support industry specific activities
  • Monitor and analyze sales activities and take appropriate actions to meet regional sales targets
  • Promote sales teaming between branches and countries for multi-location accounts
  • Build relationships with senior levels at main customers and contribute to the sales process.
  • Collaborate with channel management to increase market reach, assure sales coverage and provide appropriate customer orders fulfilment
  • Ensure reporting and ensure use and maintenance of the sales and customer relationship management tools.
  • Ensure account planning according to RA standards and drive the implementation of Disciplined Sales Processes in the country
  • Develop and implement individual sales goals and actions for the selling resources within the geographical area, with the regional direction
  • Support and collaborate with Marketing organization with planning of sales and commercial actions
  • Support and co-ordinate activities with other Rockwell Automation resources. Promote and manage communications with all the above.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new strategic partners, including system integrators, OEMs, to expand Rockwell's partner network in Italy.

Business

  • Financial Performance: achieve sales targets, manage budgets, and provide accurate forecasting and reporting, incorporating partner-driven revenue streams. Build relationships with customers, maintain and increase customer loyalty, being the main escalation point for customer issues and escalator upwards into our organization
  • Maintain awareness of competitive strategies and activities, and market trends, and their impact on local business for Rockwell Automation.
  • Responsible for the full scope of people management accountabilities, including performance development, wellbeing, team dynamics, and accountability—ensuring direct/indirect reports are supported and empowered in alignment with organizational values and methodologies.
  • Identify, hire, develop and retain required skills and talent. Develop and implement succession plans for critical country positions
  • Ensure compliance with company ethics and policies, including completion of training and employee awareness activities

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in sales with five or more years in a technology-based organization and industry.
  • Extensive exposure to customers in Italy.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Proven experience delivering on strategy and exceeding results on technology-based solutions with significant customer business outcomes, first and foremost at end users' level, with an exposure in the machine builder market.
  • Proven experience in consultative selling approach for automation products, services, and solutions.
  • The ability to travel 30% of the time.
  • Working in a B2B environment, and knowledge of industrial automation products and processes.
  • Experience beyond selling components. Selling outcomes to customers via technology, solutions, and or services.
  • Working with all levels of a manufacturing enterprise – CxO, operations leadership, technical leadership, plant leadership and OEM machine builders

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Understanding of how global companies work is a major plus.
  • Experience on driving ARR models – Licenses and services which drive annual recurring revenue. Experience implementing LAER concepts -Land, Adopt, Expand and Renew. Working with customer success and customer care.
