As a Commercial Excellence Trainee, you will support the development and execution of commercial strategies and processes that drive sales effectiveness and operational excellence. This position offers hands‑on experience in data analysis, incentive management, and generating actionable insights to optimize commercial execution using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Commercial Excellence data. You will build effective relationships with Europe CommEx teams and local associates to achieve goals.

You’ll be part of the local Commercial Excellence team receiving guidance and training while gaining increasing independence throughout the internship. Please note that the scope of this role is for Italy and Iberia (Spain & Portugal) and this internship is a 6-month internship with the possibility of extension for another 6 months.

A Typical Day Might Include:

  • Support conducting analysis and delivering actionable insights to address business needs.
  • Support the local incentives process including quota-to-payout and Presidents Club administration.
  • Support providing insights and recommendations on commercial execution based on CommEx data.
  • Support execution of all core CommEx processes including account profiling, segmentation, territory design and incentive programs.
  • Assist in training and onboarding for core CommEx platforms (e.g. Einstein Analytics).
  • Review and track dashboards to monitor KPIs and enable data‑driven decision‑making.

What You’ll Bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Pharmaceutical or another related quantitative field
  • Advanced proficiency in English and Italian; Spanish is a plus
  • High learning agility and self‑motivation
  • Strong data analytics skills
  • Experience or knowledge of Excel and other analytical tools
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) is a plus
