Overview

Algorithm Engineer – Computer Vision and Deep Learning

The successful candidate will join VisLab (an Ambarella Inc. company) in Parma, Italy, and contribute to generating high-quality ground truth data for HD maps to support autonomous systems and spatial intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced algorithms for computer vision applications.
  • Develop and optimize deep learning models.
  • Apply computational geometry techniques to solve complex spatial problems.
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate your work into our in-house auto-annotation system.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in C++ and Python.
  • Experience with computer vision and deep learning libraries (e.g., OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Solid understanding of deep learning architectures.
  • Strong background in computational geometry (e.g., triangulation, matching, 3D reconstruction).
  • Ability to write clean, modular, and well-documented code.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker or Podman, and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or automotive applications.
  • Knowledge of numerical optimization or SLAM techniques.
