ARESYS is an R&D oriented company with almost 20 years of experience in Remote Sensing and Sensor Networks Solutions. In our Earth Observation Business Unit, we develop state-of-the-art software solutions for Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR) applications.

The candidate will become a specialist in satellite SAR, RADAR, and Optical data processing, working on real-life data, and proposing state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning solutions for innovative Remote Sensing applications.

Our ideal candidate has proven experience in addressing Image and Signal processing problems using AI/ML tools, especially in image classification, segmentation, clustering, target detection, and recognition.

The candidate will identify suitable ML solutions through literature research and implement, train, and validate these solutions using common ML tools.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Develop autonomous AI software for Remote Sensing image processing tasks;
• Research and implement appropriate ML solutions and architectures;
• Develop machine learning applications based on requirements;
• Select datasets and data representation methods through feature extraction and dimensionality reduction;
• Conduct ML tests and experiments;
• Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning;
• Define training approaches, select datasets, and validate training systems;
• Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks;
• Stay updated with field developments;
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Software teams.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in computer engineering, telecommunications, mathematics, or related fields;
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role;
• Proficiency in writing robust object-oriented code in Python;
• Understanding of data structures, modeling, and software architecture;
• Strong knowledge of math, probability, statistics, and algorithms;
• Experience with ML frameworks (like Keras, PyTorch, or TensorFlow);
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Knowledge of C/C++ and integration capabilities;
• Knowledge of RADAR, SAR, and/or Optical systems and data processing pipelines.
