Production Process Engineer based in Trieste

British American Tobacco Italy has an exciting opportunity for a Production Process Engineer in Trieste. The objective of this role is to optimize performance indicators through continuous process improvement and capacity building.

Responsibilities

• Identifying areas and opportunities for process improvement providing support to all teams in the Production department in continuous improvement projects;
• Oversee tobacco nicotine blend loss indicators and packaging materials (WMS);
• Coordinates loss reduction through robust process execution throughout the plant;
• Responsible for mapping processes for the entire factory using the ability to lead and train others;
• Initiates leads and trains the production and support departments on any performance-related processes and daily management systems (DMS);
• Provides support to production teams in the structured analysis of root causes (e.g. large amounts of waste number of micro stops);

Qualifications

• University degree completed with 23 years of experience in process optimisation in a production environment
• Strong understanding of production processes and products including PMD-SMD HP PMD-SMD-FMD NPI blends nicotine pouches and cigarette composition
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal reporting lines; innovative analytical and results-driven
• Proficient in process mapping structured root cause analysis statistical techniques and factory quality systems
• Advanced project management skills with hands-on experience in planning and execution
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities across all organizational levels; fluent in English and Italian
• Highly proficient in Power Bi Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint; detail-oriented patient and well-coordinated. SAP knowledge will be considered an advantage.
