Software Development Manager (Remote from Italy)

In this role, you will lead the development of a new product initiative designed to help mid‑market customers drive growth and improve lead conversion. Accountabilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering high performance and professional growth
• Oversee software design, development, and implementation across multiple concurrent projects
• Prioritize development work, remove blockers, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, scope, and technical solutions
• Establish and maintain project timelines, ensuring delivery within agreed constraints
• Enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality benchmarks across the team
• Identify risks, perform root cause analysis on technical issues, and implement preventive solutions
• Drive a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes clearly to senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
• Proven experience managing high-performing engineering teams and delivering complex projects
• Strong technical background with experience in Python, React, and relational and NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of large-scale system design and big data architectures
• Experience working with agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced environments
• Nice to have experience with cloud platforms, containerization, DevOps practices, or data and machine learning technologies
