YOUR IMPACT:

Jacobs is looking for a Permitting Specialist, joining the environmental team to support exciting and innovative projects, in Italy and abroad.

Please note that as of now, we are looking for a portfolio of the possible candidates for the future. We do not have an immediate hiring need for the time being.

By joining Jacobs you’ll be able to develop specialistic skills, thanks to the integration of training programs with the cooperation with a diverse range of professionals (engineers, geologists, chemists, etc.), within an international, dynamic, young and diverse environment.

As permitting specialist you will have the opportunity to work closely and communicate frequently verbally and in writing with a team of project managers, scientists, engineers, and planners to achieve our clients’ goals, with the following responsibilities:

  • Based on your skills and experience, supporting the development of environmental projects, in all the different phases of projects life cycle, providing added value as per your capacities
  • Provide technical assistance and support the Milan Team in environmental services, such as compliance audits, due diligence assessments, environmental permitting, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment
  • Support energy and climate transition projects
  • Ensuring compliance with Company Quality, Environmental, H&S procedures
  • Being involved in developing company values, such as technical excellence and innovation, sustainability, health and safety, inclusion and diversity
  • Developing assigned tasks in a proactive way
  • Building and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, and projects stakeholders

Here's what you'll need

  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years of experience in environmental consultancy sector
  • Good knowledge of main EHS regulation and sustainability principles
  • Data management and reporting skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken Italian and English, other language knowledge could be an asset
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Mindset open to innovation, digitalization, visual communication
