Overview

Job Purpose: The Raw Materials Specialist supports the Raw Materials Manager, Europe in the creation, development, and sampling of all seasonal apparel collections at AMIRI. Acting as a key link between the LA and Milan offices, this role ensures efficient processes, clear communication, and timely execution. As part of a growing team, they contribute to innovation and quality in AMIRI’s fabric offering.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage fabric development administrative tasks including supplier data collection, sampling orders, and monitoring deliveries
  • Record and maintain fabric information in PLM systems
  • Support structure and process improvements to meet cross-functional needs
  • Proven Creative fabric development on a range of bases
  • Research, identify, and propose new base fabrics ahead of each season
  • Partner with suppliers and arrange fabric meetings aligned with design direction
  • Assist in ordering and tracking seasonal sampling
  • Build and maintain a structured seasonal fabric archive
  • Provide clear updates via fabric boards, binders, and trackers
  • Build and sustain strong supplier relationships to ensure smooth development and delivery
  • Ensure fabric trials are initiated and tracked for seasonal sampling
  • Monitor calendars to guarantee fabrics are approved and ready for production bookings

Main Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a Fabric or Product Development role within luxury fashion
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics and compositions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines across seasonal collections
  • Knowledgeable across diverse raw materials and fabrication processes
  • Advanced Excel skills for data tracking and reporting
  • PLM System knowledge is a plus
  • Collaborative and professional in cross-functional teamwork especially with Design, Merchandising, and Product Development teams
  • Fluency in English and Italian, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both languages
