Overview

Standards Compliance Expert – Transformers at Hitachi Energy. The role drives the implementation of internal and external Standards in Power Transformers factories across Europe, offering an opportunity to broaden expertise across disciplines and engage in dynamic projects.

Responsibilities

  • Be an active member of International Standards Committees, stay up to date with emerging changes and requirements, and influence standards development.
  • Support Product Management in developing and implementing the Global Technology Platform by engaging in requirements definition and supporting rollout phases.
  • Collaborate with teams from Engineering, Operations, and Quality; establish and maintain internal and external networks to facilitate information exchange.
  • Oversee operations across multiple factories and work toward operational harmonization.
  • Ensure effective implementation of internal and external standards within Power Transformers Units in Europe by conducting audits, identifying gaps and facilitating their resolution.
  • Communicate updates, deliver training sessions, and provide support and technical guidance on Standards Compliance questions.
  • Represent the company in standard-related discussions with customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in the Power Transformer field, preferably at Hitachi Energy.
  • Experience in Project Management and managing Functional Teams.
  • Deep knowledge of transformer design, manufacturing, testing and operations.
  • Interest in AI tools and their potential integration into one’s work.
  • L6S green belt preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Availability to travel (25% of the time).
