Overview

IIGM is located at the FPO IRCCS Candiolo Cancer Institute, Candiolo, Turin - Italy. The main goal of IIGM and FPO IRCCS Candiolo is to foster and develop excellence in research and education, with special reference to cancer biology and cancer biomarker discovery. The institute provides high-level scientific education for students and post-doctoral fellows, and access to state-of-the-art research facilities and international networks.

Gender Equality Plan: diversity is our legacy and our future. Be part of it. At IIGM diversity is an integral part of our culture and identity and for this we have adopted a plan for gender equality (GEP). We promote diversity and inclusion because we recognize that they are a source of strength and competitive advantage.

The Chemical Biology Lab at the Italian Institute for Genomic Medicine (IIGM) is seeking highly motivated candidates at all levels of seniority (predoc, postdoc) to work in functional genomics and epigenetics within the context of gastrointestinal cancer research. The laboratory investigates key aspects of drug tolerance and its involvement in tumor recurrence, with a focus on a subset of cancer cells that can survive therapy by entering a reversible, slow-proliferative state that is challenging to target with standard treatments. The project aims to identify the underlying biological mechanisms and apply research findings to develop potential therapeutic strategies. The Institute provides state-of-the-art Genomics and single-cell Genomics Sequencing platforms.
