Job Overview

Gi Group SpA, in partnership with Ferrero Belgio, is looking for a Junior Mechanical Maintenance Technician based in Arlon, Belgium, to support the mechanical maintenance team in a modern, highly automated food production environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the routine and extraordinary maintenance of production plants and lines.
• Diagnose and intervene in case of mechanical failures (belts, bearings, reducers, motors, conveyor belts, etc.).
• Perform assembly, disassembly, replacement, and adjustment of mechanical parts.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve the efficiency and reliability of the plants.
• Read mechanical drawings and technical schematics.
• Respect safety and hygiene norms specific to the food sector.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma (preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Maintenance or related).
• Short experience (internship or work-study) in mechanical maintenance or industrial plant operations.
• Basic mechanical knowledge: drives, lubrication, pneumatics, and workshop tools.
• Good manual skills, problem‑solving ability, and teamwork orientation.
• Availability to work shifts in an international production context. Basic knowledge of English or French is desirable (training available).
