We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced MYP/DP English Language & Literature Teacher to join our dedicated secondary team. Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language & Literature within the MYP and DP, ensuring high levels of engagement, progress, and achievement.
- Plan and deliver inquiry‑based lessons aligned with IB philosophy and IS Siena curriculum frameworks.
- Develop formative and summative assessments that provide meaningful feedback and support student growth.
- Contribute to collaborative planning within the English department and across interdisciplinary teams.
- Prepare students for MYP eAssessment components and DP Internal/External Assessments.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to support academic and personal development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to school reporting cycles.
- Support pastoral care structures and contribute to the holistic wellbeing of students.
- Participate fully in school events, parent meetings, professional development and community activities.
- Model the IB Learner Profile and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education or a related field; recognised teaching qualification required.
- Experience teaching MYP and/or DP English Language & Literature (IB training available for strong candidates).
- Strong understanding of inquiry‑based learning and student‑centred pedagogy.
- Demonstrated success in supporting students with varied needs, backgrounds and abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of assessment practices and ability to use data to inform instruction.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to school‑wide initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Experience in international schools or multicultural settings is a strong advantage.
- EU passport or existing right to work in Italy preferred.
