Junior Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Mechanical Engineer role in the R&D team. You will be involved in the mechanical customization and validation of high voltage disconnectors, with main focus on 3D design and drawing output, FEM and dynamic modal analysis. The design and sizing will be done according to technical specifications and relevant international standards. You will also support senior engineers in the daily management of technical activities with strong collaboration with R&D.

Responsibilities

• Drawing issue (CAD and 3D output / models)
• Mechanical validation of various components (calculations and FEM analysis, dynamic modal analysis)
• Investigation of alternative materials or different manufacturing technologies
• Redesign of noncritical parts with competence center approval
• Product customization for framework and orders
• Cost analysis and manufacturing optimization proposals
• Factory acceptance tests and type tests witnessing (in the internal accredited lab and external worldwide labs)
• Support in the resolutions of nonconformities and Risk and FMEA analysis
• Issuance of technical documents for internal or external use (seismic qualification reports, mechanical static validations)

QualificationsEducational Requirements

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• In alternative Mechanical expert with a few years of experience

Experience and Knowledge

• New graduate or technician with a few years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering or R&D

Desirable Skills

• 2D and 3D CAD software
• Good knowledge of English
• Manufacturing and process technology knowledge
• FEM analysis (optional)
