The Digital System Engineer will be part of a team focused on leading transformational change through digital programs, to innovate and simplify the Engineering processes.

The candidate will collaborate with the extended GTE Engineering team and with teams focused on processes and tools in other GTE functions and in IET Engineering.

He/She will be responsible for proposing and leading business-critical initiatives as the primary point of contact for GTE Engineering, overseeing both technical and managerial aspects, to build and develop a digital roadmap over time, that aligns with the business values and objectives.

Selected candidates will be assigned to functionally coordinate high-impact initiatives such as the DPD -Digital Product Definition- program, design and modelling tools developments, AI projects, etc.

As a GTE Engineering Digital Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Digital strategy and ideas funneling: Identify the strategic digital initiatives to invest in. Collect bottom-up digital ideas, prioritize and frame them within the business strategy.
  • Digital programs prioritization and benefit: Gather information to build strong business cases for prioritizing digital programs within GTE LRP. Monitor the adoption of digital tools and ensure the realization of engineering benefit commitments to support the achievement of team strategy deployment targets.
  • Leading execution of Digital Programs: Provide overall functional oversight of led initiatives, defining and satisfying requirements, integrating contributions, managing risks, and ensuring timely deliverables.
  • Rationalization of the set of Engineering digital tools: Continuously work to streamline the management of engineering tools, identify synergies, and promote convergence towards main platforms.
  • Communication: Communicate key digital initiatives, provide updates to leadership, and maintain the organization's digital presence on corporate tools.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least 10 years of experience in turbomachinery engineering and technology, focusing on project/systems engineering and design integration.
  • Experience with engineering digital tools and applying innovative digital technologies and AI to design activities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-disciplinary initiatives, promoting improvement and cultural change.
  • Knowledge in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies would be a plus.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Citizen Developer program engagement is preferred.
