We have an Stairlift Surveyor to join our Local Authority team covering the South of England, based in the Reading area.

The purpose of the role is to maintain and grow sales through existing local authority contracts and to develop additional business with new partners. You will support in the Local Authority sector by providing a supportive, consultative and proactive service to our Local Authority partners.

Key responsibilities;

  • Undertake technical surveys and sales quotations within end users’ premises
  • Deliver a high standard of data collection, communication and accuracy when surveying and measuring locations and end users for lift equipment
  • Understands end user needs and provide best recommendation (based on Occupational Therapist guidance where appropriate).
  • Maintain an up-to-date technical knowledge base of the products we provide to end users, as well as available configurations that provide solutions to a variety of end user needs.
  • Communicate technical and product information to LAs and end users as well as quote and install information to the business.
  • Recommend primary work required for each installation
  • Represent Handicare when dealing with LA staff and end users during the survey process
  • Attend Performance Meetings with Local Authorities and colleagues, reporting on performance and adherence to KPIs/SLAs.
  • Ensure the company meets KPIs and service level agreements with regards to survey / quotation provision
  • Establish and maintain constructive relationships with key contacts and existing partners
  • Implement, as directed, sales strategies across the UK
  • Respond to Local Authority and end user requests professionally and in a timely manner
  • Provide quotations that are accurate and in line with contractual requirements and guidance
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the schedule of work
  • Take part in project or development work as required
  • Gather and report local business intelligence that may impact the business
  • Establish new relationships to grow and develop the business
