Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop plans and specifications for new local systems or modifications to existing ones according to Group and Local guidelines and security baseline
• Support the organization to translate security needs and recommendations into technical requirements
• Develop and implement new security mechanisms
• Install and configure software to meet security requirements
• Participate to the monitoring of systems for signs of intrusion or unusual activity
• Participate in investigating incidents and providing recommendations for prevention in future
• Support Software Development Department to create robust and secure solutions
• Cooperate with Risk Management department to properly identify existing risks, controls and mitigation strategies
• Work closely with System Administrators in the team to create an efficient and secured environment
• Support penetration testing activities
• Generate reports and assist in audits
• Participate in the design of infrastructure solutions, also ensuring the application of security criteria
• Cooperate on daily basis with other System Administrators in maintaining and managing IT Infrastructure
• Identification of current and emerging technological problems, including security trends, vulnerabilities and threats, also through the use of automatic analysis systems (e.g. Qualys)
• Help Risk Management Dept promoting security awareness within the company

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a similar field.
• 3+ years experience working with computer networks and security systems (advanced knowledge of Cisco routing/switching/firewall technologies is a must)
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, methodologies and regulations
• Knowledge of Power Shell and shell scripting
• Knowledge of application security standards (OWASP)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to think critically and identify risks
• Fundamental Computer Forensics Skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Italian and English are used on a daily-basis written communications and to conduct meetings

Nice to have

• The acumen to promote cost-effective security solutions
• Outstanding communication skills that go beyond “tech talk” – the ability to translate complex IT matters to those without an IT background
• Familiarity with cloud computing environments (Azure)
• Knowledge of programming languages/tools such as C#, Java, Python
• Experience in a multinational and multicultural environment is advisable
