Why This Role Is Right for You

As a Manager of North Security by Design & Delivery, you’ll join a collaborative and forward‑thinking team based in Milan. Together, we work on integrating security requirements into Projects and managing the Security Project delivery.

About your future role

As our Manager of North Security by Design & Delivery, you will be part of the Group Security by Design & Delivery (SDD) department, within the Group CISO Area of the Nexi Group. The SDD is international and operates at the Nexi Group level, with a mission to ensure that security requirements are integrated into all Projects across the Group (Business and other), as well as to manage Security Projects and Delivery of the Group CISO Area. SDD consists of two Teams: Secure Design team and Security Delivery team. The Manager leads the Secure Design team powered by our Security by Design Architects, who are located in different European countries with Nexi Group presence.

Your key responsibilities

  • Enables Company security through ensuring Secure Design team outcomes, specifically by ensuring centralized and coordinated definition and cost estimation of security requirements for Business and IT Projects at design stage (as part of Security and Privacy by Design process)
  • Develops, coordinates, and enforces procedures and productivity standards.
  • Contributes to the overall Group‑level Security by Design & Delivery security strategy development and execution.
  • Accomplishes team objectives by managing team members day‑to‑day.
  • Accomplishes team member results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Defines team objectives, identifies and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of action, and evaluates outcomes.
  • Supports establishing strategic team objectives, by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information.
  • Accomplishes team financial objectives, by day‑to‑day forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role

  • University degree, preferred in IT domain
  • Excellent command of English and Italian language (both written and spoken)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, out of which 2+ years in similar positions
  • Excellent leadership and management skills in an international and multi‑cultural environment
  • Excellent ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with concurrent activities, changing priorities and strict deadlines
  • Excellent understanding of information security principles and practices
  • Excellent understanding of security technologies, frameworks, architecture and engineering principles
  • Basic understanding of EU privacy and personal data protection principlesOutstanding written and oral communication skills, including reporting for different audiences
  • Highly analytical thinking with attention to details
  • Innovative problem solving skills with ability to generate concrete and applicable solutions

Additional skills and experience that would make you stand out

  • Understanding of highly regulated environments, ideally in financial sector (e.g. PCI, GDPR, NIS, DORA)
  • Excellent skills in word processing applications, spreadsheet and presentation applications
  • Relevant security certifications are considered as a plus
  • Customer centricity, Interpersonal and Relationship Skills, Influencing and Negotiation Skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility, Growth Mindset
