Lead Engineer within the Systems and Solutions organization. You will guide projects, coordinate project team members, and help ensure our products meet high standards. You’ll work with different teams to design and build smart, practical solutions. Applications are welcome. Onsite presence is essential for effective collaboration; we have a hybrid model (weekly 1 day remote). Our office is located in Seregno, Italy.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in understanding and meeting customer expectations.
  • Own engineering tasks, using effective methods to reduce costs while maintaining schedule and quality.
  • Act as the main technical contact for the customer on assigned projects.
  • Help prepare procurement lists and specifications for sub-contracts, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables meet scope, quality, budget, and schedule requirements, and flag any customer-driven changes.
  • Promote a supportive team environment and assist colleagues in achieving their development goals.
  • Contribute to bid activities, ensuring customer needs are understood and smart, efficient solutions are proposed.

For This Role, You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / technical field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of industry experience with a strong record of managing system design, implementation, and testing of process automation control systems (DCS or PLC)
  • Ability to lead a technical team – leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in English and Italian
  • Open to travel to customer sites (up to 30%)
  • Driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

  • Ability to work within a complex matrix organization and collaborate across business units
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one major industry such as chemical, pharma, petrochemical, or similar
  • Knowledge and experience in cybersecurity and networking (VLAN, router, network segmentation)
  • Knowledge and experience in specific DCS control systems (DeltaV preferred)
