Integration SW Engineer – Nokia

Join to apply for the Integration SW Engineer role at Nokia. The software integration (SWI) team translates system feature requests into smaller subfeature development and delivers them to system validation. Building on software architecture knowledge and system design insights, the SWI team integrates multiple components in simulation and on target hardware, performs scalability and performance benchmarks, and drives product enhancements for usability and efficient field support. Working closely with experts in this demanding environment offers many opportunities to grow knowledge, gain experience, and develop.

Responsibilities

  • Guide development teams to deliver features.
  • Verify software component interworking in simulation and on target hardware.
  • Deliver integrated software features to system verification teams.
  • Execute benchmarks regarding performance and usability.
  • Support validation and field‑support teams in problem analysis.

Key Skills and Experience

Must have

  • Master’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
  • Good knowledge in telecommunications such as Ethernet/IP, OTN, WDM.
  • Experience with embedded software development.
  • Analytical way of working with an attitude towards problem analysis.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Italian.
  • Structured, analytical, and independent style of work with an attitude to produce high‑quality artifacts and improve the system.

Nice to have

  • Experience with feature development and integration.
  • Experience with interactive and post‑mortem debugging such as stack trace and core dump analysis.
  • Experience with static and dynamic code analysis using tools like Coverity and Valgrind.
  • First professional experience is a plus.
  • Very good communication skills.
