Position Overview

The Accountant is a key professional responsible for managing the financial records and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s bookkeeping. This role involves handling active and passive invoices, preparing VAT declarations, and maintaining compliance with tax regulations. The Accountant oversees daily financial operations, checks company books, and prepares periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities.

Essential Functions

  • Manage all accounting transactions, ensuring accurate and timely recording
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial documents and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure timely and correct tax payments
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to maintain financial integrity
  • Ensure timely execution of bank payments and monitor cash flow
  • Stay up to date with current legislation related to finance, accounting, and taxation
  • Support internal and external auditors, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Uphold legal and ethical responsibilities by acting with honesty, diligence, and professional integrity
  • Number of continuous improvement initiatives implemented

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting or High School Diploma in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or administrative roles
  • Strong knowledge of Italian and international accounting principles (IFRS)
  • Excellent command of Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multinational
  • Fluent in English
  • Familiarity with audit and compliance processes

Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment, with prolonged computer use.
  • Flexibility for hybrid work according to company policy.
