Job Description

RINA is currently recruiting for a BIM SPECIALIST INFRASTRUCTURE 1 to join its office in Genoa, Lecce, Naples, Italy within the Civil Engineering Division.

Mission

The BIM Specialist / Infrastructure is responsible for supporting and advancing the digital design and modeling of infrastructure projects. This role ensures the effective implementation of BIM methodologies, promotes interdisciplinary coordination, and drives innovation in project delivery. The Senior BIM Specialist is proficient in multiple modeling software platforms (including but not limited to Civil3D and Revit) and acts as a technical reference point within the team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and manage 3D BIM models for infrastructure projects (roads, railways, utilities, civil works).
  • Coordinate and integrate models across disciplines (architecture, structures, MEP).
  • Perform advanced modeling using Autodesk Civil3D and Revit and at least one additional BIM coordination software (e.g., Solibri, Navisworks).
  • Conduct clash detection and ensure model consistency and quality.
  • Support preparation of quantity take-offs and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Designers, and other BIM Specialists.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay updated on BIM standards, technologies, and best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
  • Other in Engineering General.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in BIM roles focused on infrastructure projects (3‑5 years at least).
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D and Revit; experience with coordination BIM software (e.g., Solibri, Navisworks) is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, UNI 11337).
  • Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex deadlines.
  • Good level of English (both spoken and written).
