Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Remote - Italy)

One of our partner companies is currently looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in Italy.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive SDET to join a dynamic development team working on an API-first platform. In this role, you'll focus on maintaining the quality, scalability, and security of services by collaborating closely with developers and contributing to the testing lifecycle. You'll be part of a team building a modern service catalog, ensuring code reliability and performance across frontend and backend systems. Accountabilities :

• Collaborate with developers to review pull requests and understand new feature code
• Write and maintain automated tests to prevent regressions and ensure software quality
• Participate in on-call rotations to support services in production
• Identify inefficiencies proactively and drive continuous improvements
• Design and implement solutions for technical testing challenges
• Communicate effectively and ask clarifying questions in team discussions
• Analyze code and behavior directly to adapt to incomplete documentation
• Have 5+ years of experience in software development and testing within collaborative teams
• Possess a strong background in supporting large-scale SaaS platforms
• Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, or similar test automation tools
• Solid understanding of Git and GitHub workflows
• Skilled in test planning, strategy, execution, and reporting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
