Job Description
The Asset Operations Manager oversees the development, execution, and operation of Renewable Gas assets. This position combines technical expertise in asset operations with knowledge of managing complex turnkey projects. The individual in this role is responsible for ensuring that assets function efficiently, comply with regulations, and meet environmental and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities
- Project & Contract Review: Assess and validate project designs, feasibility studies, and EPC/O&M contracts to ensure alignment with BOO requirements.
- Construction & Quality Oversight: Monitor construction activities and Balance of Plant quality, conduct site inspections, and provide independent progress reports.
- Commissioning & Operational Readiness: Oversee commissioning, performance verification, regulatory/environmental compliance, and the handover of operational assets.
- Asset Management & Optimization: Support long‑term asset management, predictive maintenance, performance optimisation, and plant improvement initiatives.
- Leadership, Standards & Risk Management and HSE: Ensure adherence to operational standards, lead coordination activities, and manage risk assessment and response.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; certifications on PMP/IPMA is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in engineering, operations, construction, or maintenance, preferably in Renewable Gas (Agricultural and/or Organic Waste sector).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in asset management systems, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance tools. Experience with renewable gas or WtE technologies is preferred.
- Leadership Skills and Analytical Abilities: Demonstrated experience managing teams, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience in performance data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Language Skills: Business fluency in English (additional language is a plus).
