Responsibilities

  • You will lead a team of engineers within the Systems Engineering group, focusing on aircraft system modifications including:
  • Environmental Control Systems (ECS), heating, air cleaning, cooling, humidification, soundproofing, oxygen supply, smoke detection, water/waste systems, and other related systems.
  • Ensure all designs comply with certification requirements, regulations, and approved methods of compliance.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external partners to support project coordination.
  • Report to the Manager of Mechanical Design Engineering – Systems and assist with administrative and organizational tasks.
  • Coordinate daily engineering activities, support workload planning, and monitor project deadlines.
  • Track man-hours and material budgets, and review technical documentation such as reports, analyses, test procedures, and installation instructions.
  • Develop mechanical drawings using 2D/3D CAD tools, select suitable components and materials, and help define engineering design standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or a related engineering field.
  • Three years of leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of physics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, aerospace systems, and materials; basic acoustics knowledge.
  • Proficient in MS Office and 2D/3D CAD tools like AutoCAD, CATIA, and SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. French or German is an advantage.
