Overview

The Product Manager Digital Equipments is responsible for the digital solutions portfolio (including equipment, consumables, software, customizable productions for clinics and labs).

Moreover the PM will define strategy, planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering product and customer requirements, defining and working closely with sales and other departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals.

A strong interaction and collaboration with HQ product managers is requested to ensure flawless execution. The role interacts with professionals in public and private markets such as medical doctors, lab technicians, nurses and all relevant actors in the business and with the sales force to provide information on products, solutions, trainings and other Marketing related activities.

The role requires the use of Video conferencing tools (such as Zoom, Teams meetings) and a company car for business related transfers.

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Product Management responsibilities of the assigned portfolio
  • Forecasting, lifecycle management, launch planning and communication plans
  • Being point of contact for HQ and Regional office
  • Definition and implementation of marketing plans to meet customer needs while delivering Straumann Italy sales objectives
  • Launching new products and defining the local plan to address specific market needs
  • Tracking business outcomes to enable refinements and continuous improvement
  • Competition understanding to implement mitigation plans when/where necessary
  • Development, adaptation and implementation of marketing communication material
  • Support to Sales force: providing technical and commercial trainings on products to internal staff and the sales force, including new hires, to ensure proper knowledge of products/solutions
  • Definition and implementation of promotional plans in synergy with Sales and Sales Operations
  • Training & Education: content and plan definition of the annual T&E activity
  • Liaison with top customers and KOLs
  • Product Support and participation in congresses and local, national or international events
  • Cross functional and cross department interaction: coordinate actions with other Product Managers, Communication Manager, Training & Event team
  • Collaboration with other company departments to ensure the best and most effective execution
  • Other Duties: Any other duties depend on business needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and clear understanding of the fundamentals of Product Management
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within large (global) medical devices / dental organisation working within project/product management role capacity
  • Experience within the dental industry would be very much appreciated
  • Proven ability to execute a marketing plan
  • Experience of working closely with large sales forces in medical devices/dental marketplace
  • Good analytical skills - evidence of ‘closing the loop‘ and measuring success of business initiatives and project management
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to assimilate complex market data with qualitative inputs to arrive at fact-based, informed decisions
  • Ability to network and form strong business relationships with influential key opinion leaders and internal stakeholders
  • University degree in Bio-Engineering or Business related disciplines; MBA degree is a plus
  • MS Office knowledge
  • Language: fluent in English
  • Traveling is required up to 50%
