Leadership hiring - Executive Search - Continental Europe

Are you ready to take a strategic role at the intersection of HR and Finance? We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive HR Cost Controlling Manager to lead the financial oversight of our personnel‑related activities.

In this key position you will manage and analyze HR costs, drive budget and forecast accuracy, and deliver insightful reporting on workforce KPIs. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership to support decision‑making, optimize cost efficiency, and contribute to impactful projects such as restructuring and incentive planning.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Account, analyze, and control the monthly costs of the company’s personnel, including budget and forecast discrepancies, cost centers, and accounting categories.
  • Manage, develop, and consolidate budget and forecast activities related to personnel and HR issues, and conduct periodic predictive and ad‑hoc analysis on the economic performance of personnel costs.
  • Pay special attention to operational parameters related to personnel: produce regular reporting requested by HR Management, European Headquarters, and Operations on personnel KPIs (e.g., headcount, FTE workforce, overtime, turnover, absenteeism, holiday management, impact of compensation policies).
  • Proactively support various company departments in reporting and statistics required by institutional bodies (e.g., Auditors, Statutory Auditors, ISTAT).
  • Contribute to the creation of dashboards focused on personnel analysis with BI and HR Analytics systems.
  • Manage monitoring, analysis, control, and reporting on Restructuring and Personnel Internalization and Acquisition projects.
  • Manage the calculation and finalization process of the variable incentive system (MBO, Sales bonus, etc.) in collaboration with the HR Director, European Headquarters, and FP&A department.
  • Coordinate with HR Managers to produce analyses useful to Business Directors.
  • Coordinate effectively with the HR Director, Finance department, line Managers, and all colleagues, including feedback operations and input from Headquarters.
  • Add value in implementing analysis and coordinating cross‑functional projects and new rules/processes in accordance with Group policies.

Skills and Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Direct experience in HR cost controlling within HR departments, plus at least 2 years in management control in multinational companies in the industry or business services sector.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
  • Strong skills in using the Office package (especially Excel and Power BI); knowledge of Zucchetti HR Analytics and SAP SuccessFactors preferred.
  • Experience in business start‑up phases and associated implementations.
  • Excellent relational skills for productive collaboration with external and internal clients.
  • Numerical analysis, problem‑solving, results orientation, confidentiality, punctuality, and strong critical thinking skills.
