Position : Technical Business Manager

Purpose :

Lead client relationships, identify opportunities, ensure technical excellence, bridge PDS and DPS, drive growth, optimize business strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Client Experience & Relationship Management :
  • Lead client engagements and manage accounts to ensure that both client and Patheon priorities are met. Drive service excellence, coordinate communications, and address blocking issues to maintain strong client relationships.
  • Business Development :
  • Leverage existing relationships to identify and implement new business opportunities. Partner with Sales to explore growth potential and promote Patheon’s capabilities.
  • Technical Excellence :
  • Coordinate technology transfer projects, ensuring timely launches and addressing client needs through process improvements. Contribute to Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Manage revenue forecasts, ensure client commitments align with contracts, and support the development of commercial revenue budgets. Collaborate with Finance to improve forecast accuracy and manage pricing updates.
  • GMP & Health & Safety :
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP and EH&S requirements, encouraging a safe work environment.

Required Qualifications :

  • Education :
  • University Degree or equivalent experience in Science, Finance, or Business. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience :
  • Minimum 2 years in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record in account management, sales, or marketing.
  • Skills :
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a client-service orientation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing / outsourcing is a plus.
  • Languages :
  • Proficient in English; Italian is a plus.

Internal Relations :

Site Leadership Team, Patheon UK teams, Legal, Business Development, Global Business Management, Senior Management, and other internal functions.

External Relations :

Clients, third parties, suppliers.
