Your Role and Responsibilities

As a IT Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing business and functional processes and identifying opportunities for improvement through IT solutions. You will collaborate with our clients, internal and external teams to gather and document requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications, evaluate project costs and plan project activities, and ensure the successful implementation of IT solutions. The role also involves supporting project management, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Business Process and Requirements Analysis: Actively participate in meetings with stakeholders to identify business requirements, gather input, and define business needs. Conduct in-depth analysis of existing systems or end‑to‑end process to assess how changes or improvements can be effectively implemented.
  • Cost Evaluation and Budgeting: Analyze potential costs associated with proposed IT solutions, prepare cost assessments, and contribute to project budgeting to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, defining timelines, milestones, and resource requirements to ensure that IT projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Requirement Documentation and Functional Specifications: Translate gathered business needs into clear and detailed functional specifications. Ensure all requirements are documented accurately for development and testing teams.
  • Collaboration in Implementation and Testing: Support development and testing teams during the implementation phase, ensuring that the IT solutions align with business needs and meet quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement and Reporting: Track the progress of ongoing projects, provide regular status reports, and recommend adjustments to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Business process analysis and improvement
  • Requirement gathering and documentation
  • Knowledge of IT and related architecture (front‑end, back‑end, databases, web services integration)
  • Systems analysis and design
  • Proficiency in Italian

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies
  • Experience with data modeling and database management (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Experience with Business Process Modeling (e.g. UML)
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles and design patterns
