Data Scientist - Artificial Intelligence

Introduction

In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients worldwide. You’ll collaborate with visionaries across multiple industries to accelerate hybrid cloud and AI initiatives, driving innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your Role And Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with business and technical teammates to understand data‑driven challenges and opportunities.
• Maintain a strong focus on learning, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Support the analysis and resolution of data inconsistencies and model performance issues.
• Assist in developing and experimenting with machine learning models and analytical solutions to improve insights and decision‑making.
• Contribute to data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis to enhance model performance.
• Document technical requirements and support the development of data‑driven solutions.

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Minimum 2 years working as a data scientist with demonstrated involvement in AI‑related projects.
• Academic background in data science, statistics, computer science, or related field.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and statistical modeling techniques through coursework or academic projects.
• Basic programming skills in SQL, Python, R, or equivalent language for data analysis and model development.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and database principles.
• Interest in obtaining relevant certifications in data science, machine learning, or cloud‑based analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
