We're Hiring : Ship’s Doctor – Cruise Ship Assignment

Join the medical team of a prestigious passenger cruise line sailing under the Italian flag!

Your Role

Provide medical care to both passengers and crew, working as part of a structured onboard medical department under the supervision of a Medical Director.

Requirements

• ✅ Medical Degree and specialization (Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, or equivalent)
• ✅ Minimum 3 years post‑grad clinical experience
• ✅ At least 6 months in emergency settings (ER, ICU, ambulance, etc.)
• ✅ Registered with an Italian Medical Council (Ordine dei Medici)
• ✅ Fluent in English (B2 level or higher)
• ✅ Valid ACLS, ATLS, APLS (or equivalent)
• ✅ Willingness to work onboard ~6 months / year (split into 3–4 month contracts)
• ✅ Compulsory certification for navigation (STCW) or willingness to obtain the courses
• ✅ Strong clinical documentation & IT skills

Important for EU Doctors

EU candidates must have their qualifications recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health, be registered with an Italian Medical Council, and obtain a Medico di Bordo license.

Onboard Medical Team Structure

• 1 Medical Director
• 1 Ship’s Doctor (this position)
• 3 Registered Nurses
• 1 Nursing Coordinator
• 2 Medical Secretaries

Contract & Benefits

• €10,000 gross monthly salary
• Performance bonus up to €2,500 / month
• Accommodation & meals provided onboard
