Job Title : Data Analyst (Power BI)

Industry : FinTech

Location : Fully Remote (EU-based preferred, ideally Italy)

Contract Duration : 6 Months + Extension

Start Date : Beginning of August (ASAP onboarding preferred)

About the Role

We are partnered with a huge international FinTech company that are searching for a skilled Data Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI to support a strategic dashboard project. This role is critical to upskilling internal staff and involves working closely with a junior Power BI analyst who will shadow the successful candidate.

You’ll play a central role in building new, impactful dashboards, ensuring best practices in data visualisation, and enabling clear, data-driven decision-making. The role also includes mentoring responsibilities for a few hours daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver new dashboards in Power BI .
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into insightful visual reports.
  • Mentor and upskill a junior data analyst during 3–4 hours of the workday.
  • Ensure dashboard performance, usability, and adherence to data standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, ideally with exposure to fintech or financial services .
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI – hands-on, advanced knowledge required.
  • Solid understanding of data storytelling, visualisation best practices, and dashboard performance tuning.
  • Experience working with diverse datasets and transforming them into actionable insights.

Nice to Have

  • Italian language skills – not essential but preferred for alignment with client stakeholders.
  • English proficiency – a plus for documentation and communication.
  • Experience mentoring or training junior team members.
  • Power BI certifications – beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics).
  • Remote Work : 100% remote, no location restrictions (EU time zone preferred).
  • Interview Process : One-stage 30–60 minute technical interview with a senior data analyst. Decision expected within a day post-interview.
