As a First Operator in Production you will support and coordinate the production activities, guide and control the personnel teams in compliance with company procedures for our plant in Caronno Pertusella.

Responsibilities

  • Checks and operates designated machines and production equipment for the department. Common tasks include blending, mixing, dispensing, packaging, heating, adding enzymes, compounding, filtering.
  • Supports and coordinates production activities by guiding and supervising teams of personnel.
  • Requests and supervises maintenance interventions, carrying out work preparation activities with the relevant signing of start and acceptance work permits.
  • Completes production documents.
  • Selects raw materials to be used, moves them and loads them into production equipment.
  • Uses production worksheets to ensure that the correct quantities of materials are added in the correct sequence.
  • Produces the product safely and in a timely manner according to predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.
  • Accurately reads control instruments and prepares neat and accurate records for all operations as required.
  • Is able to troubleshoot basic problems independently and provide recommendations for correction.
  • Performs in-process quality testing to ensure customer specifications are met. Identifies deviations and documents/communicates them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepares product packaging for the next step in production or for final shipment to the customer according to department specifications.
  • Maintains a neat, clean and orderly shop floor and completes sanitation and housekeeping duties as required.
  • Works in accordance with all relevant requirements including but not limited to GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA and internal safety guidelines.

Your professional profile includes:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the production of flavors, ingredients, food or chemical products.
  • Preferred experience in forklift operation.
  • Basic skills in using a PC, preferably with MS Office products.
  • Experience in using RF scanners and labeling.
  • Team-oriented.
  • Passion and flexibility in working.
